Like the title implies, everything revolves around an evil book. In fact, there is no spoken dialogue but the book gives us messages to read. It’s very well made and we’d recommend it.
Synopsis
A man hears a knock at the door at 3 a.m. There’s no one there, but he does find a package containing a book. A very old book, a “_Wicca Book_,” full of cool drawings. As he flips through the pages, he starts hearing a baby crying. It’s coming from the book. Then he sees a dark figure in his apartment, and he becomes part of one of the drawings.
A woman wakes up from a nightmare. Later, she and some spelunkers are exploring a cave where they find a pentagram. She, too, soon finds that same book down in the cave. She takes it home, and almost immediately, weird things start happening. She looks back in the book, which now says, “Give it to someone else before the sunset.” We then see her knock on the first man’s door as she leaves the package for him.
She continues to do research. “By opening the book, you open the gate. By giving it to someone else, you will sacrifice them and you will become a witch.” Except she has to get the book back, so she breaks into the now-gone-man’s apartment to retrieve it. She then finds out the book requires more than one sacrifice.
She goes back to the cave to bury the book once and for all, but we know that’s not going to be the end of it…
Commentary
This is a Greek-made short horror indie series. There’s no spoken dialogue, but the written stuff is in English. It all looks great, and you can always tell exactly what’s happening, if not necessarily why. The special effects and costumes all look really good.
