Synopsis
It’s Halloween, and three kids are talking about horror movies while sitting in the gas station parking lot. One kid watches a car park, and watches as the driver leaves the back door open. He dares another kid to get into the car’s back seat and scare the owner when they come back.
The driver and the car pull out. The driver is listening to a scary story about a cemetery, and the kid in the backseat is wearing a ghost costume. The kid waits for just the right time to jump up.
It goes badly for all involved.
Commentary
FAAFO, right?
There are some cool shots here, and the story idea was well-executed. I didn’t care for the bright flashes of red when something happens– we never actually see any violence. That’s not bad in itself, but I’m not even sure who becomes a ghost in this because we never actually see a ghost.
It’s a little disappointing.
